Nora Young (CBC) just called me for a phone interview about Kiva. It's a cool organization. If you care about development, micro-finance and sustainability you should check it out.
My only connection is that I loaned to a couple businesses and am Canadian. Right this second you can lend as little as USD$25 to a Kenyan woman. The social return on investment is enormous, and you'll hear about how they're doing as they repay their loan. |
